- Natural Shea Butter Bar Soap

We make our bar soaps using the Cold Process method, using only plant based vegetable oils and super-fatted with unrefined Shea Butter. This blend of natural vegetable oils is gentle enough for most skin types.  We use Palm Oil which is obtained from the fruit pulp of the oil palm, Elaeis species. It provides moisturizing properties and gives a long-lasting lather. Sunflower oil, from the seeds of large sunflowers, Helianthus annuus, contains Vitamin E and holds moisture in by laying down a light layer of protective oil. It provides a conditioning lather to bar soaps.  Organic Virgin Coconut oil is expressed from the coconut  meat kernels of the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera. It provides a fluffy cleansing lather and also lays down a protective layer on the skin. Olive Oil obtained from ripe olives, Olea europaea, helps retain moisture to the skin but does not block the skin’s natural functions. It provides natural disinfectant and healing properties and helps keep skin soft. Unrefined Shea Butter is natural fat from the fruit pits of the karite tree, Butyrosperum parkii. A powerful anti-oxidant, it provides softening, nourishment and is rich in vitamins. Clays and other botanicals are also sometimes incorporated to provide natural colour. We have chosen our ingredients for their specific therapeutic and skin conditioning properties. We do not use any petroleum based products as this is known to clog pores and is not a renewable resource. Vitamin E and/or Rosemary Oleoresin Extract are added to prevent rancidity.

Each bar is approximately 100g or more, wrapped in glassine paper with Ribbon Band.
